BIKE SHUTTLE INFORMATION
Free bike shuttles are available for valid 3-day and 1-day ticketholders from the Waterfront Festival Grounds to the Galbraith Mountain southside trailhead. Each shuttle fits 10–14 riders with bikes—including ebikes. A one-time e-waiver must be signed at boarding.
Shuttle Hours
-
9 AM: First shuttle departs from festival grounds
-
12–1:15 PM: Reduced shuttle frequency
-
5 PM: Last shuttle departs from festival grounds (demo bikes not allowed)
-
5:30 PM: Last shuttle departs from Galbraith Mountain
All demo bikes are due back to Exhibitor Village by 5 PM. If demoing, please depart Galbraith Mountain no later than 4:30 PM to ensure a timely return.
If riding your own bike and you miss the final Galbraith pickup at 5:30 PM, you'll be responsible for finding your own way back to the festival grounds. To avoid biking back, we recommend returning before 5:30 in case the last shuttle is full.
Shuttle Stops
Festival bike shuttles make two stops: the Waterfront Festival Grounds and Southside Galbraith Mountain trailhead. Shuttles to Chuckanut Mountain are not available in 2025. For driving directions to the Chuckanuts, visit our Getting Here page.
Waterfront Festival Grounds (Granary Ave.)
Shuttles will load and unload from Granary Ave., near the Exhibitor Village and VanLife Camping Zone. Shuttles depart every 15–30 minutes, with reduced frequency during lunch hours.
Note: Shuttle frequency will be impacted on Sunday, July 13 due to the Bellingham Pride Parade, which will be staging in our normal shuttle loading zone. More details about Sunday shuttle impacts and detours will be announced soon.
Galbraith Mountain Trailhead (S. Samish Way)
Festival shuttles service the Southside Galbraith parking lot, NOT the Northside Galbraith trailhead. Galbraith Mountain (aka, "Galby") is the most popular bike zone in Bellingham, with 70 miles of singletrack and nearly 180 trails to pick from. Most climbs are via the network of fire roads, with many drop-in points to trails than span all skill levels.
Approximate one-way shuttle time: 12.5 minutes.
Shuttling with a Bike Demo?
Driving your own vehicle with a demo bike from the festival grounds is NOT allowed by bike vendors. Please utilize the free NW Tune-Up shuttles or pedal from the NW Tune-Up festival grounds to nearby trails.
Bike demos must be returned to the Exhibitor Village by 5 PM. Plan on departing the trailhead no later than 4:30 PM to ensure a timely return.
Race & Event Shuttles
Galbraith Mountain Enduro racers may utilize festival shuttles during normal shuttle hours, but space is not guaranteed. If you require a firm arrival time, we suggest arranging other transportation. There are no shuttles for the Gravel Gran Fundo, but parking is plentiful at the Haskell parking lot in Fairhaven, also just a short bike ride away from the festival grounds. Dedicated festival shuttles will be available for participants of the Transition Bikes jumping & cornering clinic on Galbraith Mountain.
Bike Parking
Stash your bike during the festival with our secure, pay-what-you-can bike parking service, available only for valid ticketholders. A suggested cash donation of $5/bike or $10/family per day is encouraged, with all proceeds benefitting a daily non-profit organization.
