Demo Bike Rules

Bike demos are available Friday–Sunday from participating brands for valid 3-Day General Admission, VIP, Bike Demo and eligible 1-Day pass holders. With more brands on site than ever before, a wide range of bikes is available across all categories. All demos operate on a first-come, first-served basis and availability is not guaranteed. Demo bikes are intended for recreational trail use only and must be returned to the Exhibitor Village by 5 PM.

HOW TO DEMO BIKES

Demo Availability

Demo bikes are first-come, first-served and availability is not guaranteed. Bikes cannot be reserved in advance, and selection varies throughout the day. For the best chance of riding your preferred model, plan to arrive early. Demos begin at 8 AM, Friday–Sunday.

Most vendors offer 2–3 hour demo windows, though timing may vary by brand and demand. On the chance that no demo bikes are available, we recommend bringing your personal bike so you can still ride Bellingham’s trail network.

What to Know Before You Ride

Demo bikes are not intended for racing. Please use your own bike for events such as the Galbraith Mountain Enduro, Freestyle Showdown, Pump Track Race or Best Whip.

Some vendors may offer helmets, pedals or shoes, but availability is limited. Bringing your own gear is strongly recommended.

Please plan to bring:

  • Valid festival wristband (3-Day or eligible 1-Day or Bike-Only pass)
  • Valid photo ID
  • Credit card for demo checkout
  • Helmet, shoes and pedals
  • Hydration pack (most bikes do not include bottle cages) and snacks
  • Multi-tool and flat repair kit (recommended)
  • A ride plan to make the most of your time on trail

Waivers & Demo Checkout

All demo participants must sign a waiver and will receive a demo card at wristband pickup, valid for the duration of their festival pass. This card must be presented when checking out bikes and will be held by the vendor along with a credit card as security until the demo is returned. Waivers will be emailed in advance of the festival to the person who originally purchased tickets, and will also be available on-site at the Box Office. We recommend signing the waiver online in advance to expedite wristband pickup.

If you are using festival shuttles, a one-time digital waiver is also required upon your first ride.
